About Us

Our Vision

We create an inspiring space where you can heal, thrive, and grow.

Our Mission

People in communities treating their neighbors—anywhere in the Pacific Northwest.

Core Values:

  • Authenticity – We speak plainly and honor real experiences.

  • Equity in Action – We serve communities others overlook and advocate for fair care.

  • Courageous Care – We don’t avoid complexity; we embrace it with heart.

  • Client Empowerment – We support clients in choosing their own path to healing.

  • Community Belonging – We serve our communities because we are in our communities.

Our Approach

You come first. We employ therapies to help you heal, thrive, and grow.

While we specialize in the humanistic therapy lens, we incorporate these evidence-based modalities:

  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy—Talk therapy for people who experience emotions intensely.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy—Helps people problem solve and explore beliefs, thoughts, and feelings.

  • Internal Family Systems—Helps people access the self and heal individual parts of the Self.

  • Schema-Focused Therapy—Addresses unmet childhood needs that have resulted in feelings of social isolation, abandonment and trust issues, co-dependency and more.

  • Psychodynamic Therapy—Talk therapy to treat depression and other psychological disorders.

More on types of therapies.

From the Founder

I started Humanistic Therapy Northwest because I saw the need for a mental health practice that truly centers the experiences of both clients and clinicians.

In a field that often focuses on productivity and paperwork, I wanted to create a space where healing relationships come first. A space where providers with lived experience see, hear, and support LGBTQIA2S+ folks, neurodivergent people, and those navigating crisis.

What makes us different isn’t just our specialties, but how we show up. We believe that relational, humanistic, healing is the heart of therapy.

Lasting change doesn’t happen through tools alone; it happens when we feel safe enough to show up as our full selves.

Our team of therapists lead with compassion, cultural humility, and evidence-based care, while also being grounded in authentic connection.

We also believe in clinical integrity. That means we support our clinicians with just as much care as we offer our clients. We invest in our team’s wellness, growth, and joy. Because burnt-out providers can’t offer grounded care.

What keeps me going is witnessing the courage it takes to ask for help, and the transformations that occur when working with folks.

It humbles and encourages me to see that our community continues to thrive, not because the systems support us, but because we support one other.

Against every obstacle, we choose connection, courage, and hope.

I want every therapist and client we serve to feel empowered to do their best work. And that everyone feels like they’ve found a place where change is within reach.

 Warmly,

Jeffrey
