Common questions about therapy in Portland

Everything prospective clients want to know before booking.

Do you offer in-person therapy in Portland?
Yes. We offer in-person appointments at our Portland office at 4800 S Macadam Ave, Suite 110. We also offer telehealth via a HIPAA-compliant video platform for all Oregon and Washington residents — so you can connect from wherever you're comfortable.
What does LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapy mean?
It means your identity is welcomed and celebrated — not just tolerated. You won't need to explain or justify who you are. As members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community ourselves, our clinicians offer care grounded in lived and professional experience. We'll compassionately support however you choose to identify and work with you in that context.
What insurance do you accept in Oregon?
We accept a wide range of Oregon plans including First Choice, MODA, Aetna, Providence, Regence (BCBS), BlueCross BlueShield, Lifewise, Cigna/Evernorth, and multiple OHP plans including CareOregon/HealthShare, Trillium, Open Card, Jackson Care Connect, and Yamhill Community Care. If you don't see your plan listed, contact us — we can request a prior authorization or single-case agreement.
What if I don't have insurance or my plan isn't accepted?
We offer a sliding scale for clients without coverage or with financial need. We also provide superbills so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement directly with your insurer. Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card to ask about reimbursement options.
How do I get started with a Portland therapist?
Request a free 20-minute consultation on our Book Appointment page. We'll discuss your preferences, current availability, and match you with the best-fit clinician. If your preferred therapist has a waitlist, we'll discuss options and keep you in the loop on open spots.
How much does therapy cost?
Individual and couples/family therapy is $275 for a 60-minute session. Group therapy fees are based on insurance, with sliding scale available. Mental health assessments are $600 for 90 minutes. Clinical supervision is $125 for 60 minutes. We begin every client relationship with an assessment and treatment planning session to make sure care is tailored to your goals.
Do you specialize in neurodivergent clients?
Yes. Several of our Portland clinicians have lived experience as neurodivergent individuals themselves, and specialize in ADHD- and Autism-affirming care. We approach neurodivergence as a different way of experiencing the world — not something to fix.
